Keeping a Dream Journal is very important for every witch as dreams often reveal clues to your life, (present, past and future alike) both spiritual and physical. Place a notebook or a journal of your choice beside your bed and take a few minutes out to record your dreams. I keep a flashlight with my journal next to my bed in case I wake up in the middle of the night and need to jot down my dreams thus far so come morning I don't forget them. Make sure to date each dream and record all the details that you can remember even if you don't understand the dream. In time you can look back at those recordings and find that maybe your dreams were trying to tell you something. Your not always going to dream a clear picture of what is to come like a prophetic dream (which even they can be confusing at times and challenging). Sometimes dreams are like codes or pieces of a puzzle and are very difficult to solve. Other times our subconsious paints a pretty picture over that we wish not to see for the truth can be cold and dark. At one time I had a dream about my niece who was just a toddler then. To make a long detailed dream short, she was running with a very sharp knife in her hand and had tripped over landing on the knife. It was like I was there watching the whole thing. I went to her and held her in my arms. She looked at me with pleading eyes as she was fading fast. I woke up in a panic. I had learned by now to trust my dreams and immediately phoned her mother. I told her she had to go get her daughter at the babysitters right away. When my sister arrived to pick up her daughter she was suprized to find the door wide open and the babysitter asleep. Her daughter was about to reach for a large sharp knife that was laying on the edge of the kitchen table. I firmly believe if it hadn't been for my prophetic dream that my neice would not be alive today.
